Impact on Fort Worth and Tarrant County
The predominant performing ensemble at the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra attracts more than 7,800 season subscribers and 100,000 single ticket buyers to downtown Fort Worth annually.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association consistently employs more than 200 individuals. Annual payroll and benefits total 7.2 million.

Impact on Texas
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is a cultural resource to the entire state, performing in more Texas communities than any other orchestra and serving more than 25,000 people outside the Fort Worth area.

The Orchestra’s Symphonic Series concerts are broadcast each season on WRR 101.1 FM, Texas’ leading classical music station, reaching more than 100,000 listeners in the nation’s seventh-largest broadcasting market.

Impact on the Nation and the World
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is the host orchestra for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and appears worldwide in radio, television and video productions.

In January 2008, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will debut at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Concertmaster Michael Shih performs on the exceptional 1710 “Davis” Stradivarius violin, which is generously on loan to the Orchestra by Mr. and Mrs. William S. Davis.

The Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra served as host orchestra for the 1994 Tokyo International Music Competition, presented by Japan’s prestigious Min-On Concert Association.
