Most symphonic concerts include at least one work designated as “People’s Choice,” chosen by our patrons through an audience survey.

Paganini’s First Violin Concerto, a dazzling display in technical prowess, features Augustin Hadelich, who last performed with the FWSO at Carnegie Hall. Mejía’s Pequeña Suite features two popular Chilean dances, Bambuco and Cumbia. Bernstein’s selection of Symphonic Dances from the Broadway hit West Side Story beautifully depict this modern day Romeo and Juliet. Turina’s lively Danzas fantásticas draws deeply from the musical traditions of Spain.
