The Fort Worth Symphony's Young Artist Competition is held every spring and is open to exceptional young instrumentalists and vocalists, age 18 and under, in the state of Texas. The first prize winner receives a $5,000 scholarship made possible by a grant from the Lowe Foundation, as well as the opportunity to perform as soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 20, 2017. Semifinal round auditions (by invitation only) will take place Monday, March 20, 2017 at Van Cliburn Recital Hall and are closed to the public. Final round auditions will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 (time TBD) on stage at Bass Performance Hall and will be open to the public.
