In-School Performances

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Neighborhood Arts Program of the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, performs a series of free full orchestra and small ensemble concerts each season for children at schools in selected neighborhoods of Fort Worth. These entertaining educational concerts provide children from underserved areas the opportunity to experience live orchestral music in their own schools. Six full orchestra and twenty small ensemble concerts will be presented during the 2010-2011 concert season.

Community Engagement Concerts

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Neighborhood Arts Program of the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, performs free outreach concerts each season at churches and community centers. The concerts are designed to bridge the gap between the arts and communities where cultural resources might be limited These engaging performances bring great music to families and neighborhoods throughout Fort Worth.

Touring

Each season, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra brings symphonic music to communities throughout the State of Texas. Touring performances include interactive narrated concerts for students and evening concerts designed for listeners of all ages. During the 2010-11 season, the FWSO will travel to Killeen, Waxahachie, Graham, Mesquite, Glen Rose and Stephenville.
