The Fort Worth Symphony Young Artist Competition is open to exceptional young instrumentalists, age 18 and under, in the state of Texas. Applicants must prepare a complete concerto or single-movement work from the standard orchestral repertoire. The first prize winner will receive the Erma Lowe Young Artist Award, a scholarship in the amount of $5,000, made possible by a grant from the Lowe Foundation, as well as the opportunity to perform as soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
