Reports to: Operations Manager and FWSO Production Manager on site
Position Summary: Concerts in the Garden Festival Stagehands are responsible for the safe assembly and removal of stage, sound and lighting equipment at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. CITG Stagehands will assist resident and visiting Artists and Production staff with the load-in, set-up and load-out of stage equipment. CITG Stagehands will also perform performance running crew functions, such as the execution of stage changes, the operation of a basic lighting system, and assisting production staff and artists with other requests as needed. A helpful and courteous attitude is required in order to provide an optimal workplace environment where musicians may achieve maximum artistic potential in safety and ease.
Qualifications and Requirements: The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable to a changing outdoor environment, will be a highly qualified and experienced stagehand, and will have previous outdoor performance venue experience. A healthy respect for all types of music professionals, including guest artists, conductors, orchestra musicians, and production personnel, is essential.
Compensation: Compensation will be paid according the rates defined in the IATSE Local 126 Working Agreement plus a Key Position Premium of $1.50 per hour.
Festival Description: The Orchestra's annual five to six-week summer music festival, Concerts in the Garden, is located in the beautiful Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. It features an array of performances and artists and has grown to be the largest and most successful summer outdoor festival of its kind in Texas, attracting an annual audience of more than 50,000.
